Radio 1 in Norway was the most important commercial radiostation before P4 was launched in 1994. For many years
Radio 1 had stations in all the major markets in Norway and remained an important player until late 2000s.
In the end it was Bauer Media who chose to close the last Radio 1 stations when they bought Radio Norge and Radio 1 from SBS Discovery in 2015.
Now Radio 1 in Norway is back on air, with a new crew and a new logo. The format is approximately the same, music and entertainment for young adults.
