According to numbers from Mediebyråforeningen, radio advertising was down 12 % in the first four months of 2019, compared to the same period last year.
The numbers are based on what the agency has placed on commercial radio stations, not the total revenue, and most of this relates to national channels. Local advertising is mostly sold locally.
In total the agencies sold radio commercials for NOK 120, 4 millions, around 14 millions euro, from january to april this year. In the same period other kinds of advertising was also down. The total market lost 5,6 %.
At the same time radio advertising in Sweden is up by 2,8 %, according to radionytt.se. The total market in Sweden is stable in the first four months compared to last year.
