BBC forteller i dag historien om WWL i New Orleans, den eneste radiostasjonen som klarte å holde seg på lufta under hele den
dramatiske perioden under og etter at orkanen Katrina rammet New Orleans.
Det er en dyptgående historie om radiofolk som trosset værgudene med fare for sitt eget liv og også reddet liv ved å formidle livsviktig informasjon til innbyggerne.

Shortly after midnight, Earline Singleton, a grandmother in her 60s, telephoned the station from the Mid-City area. As she sat on a love seat on her porch, she could see cars floating on the water, as it continued to rise around her.
