Radio listening is trending downwards

23.09.2024 - RADIONYTT.NO - Kyrre Dahl

There is a decline for most of the radio channels when we compare listening figures for August 2024 with August 2023.

The total decline is around 5%, but some of that may be due to the Olympics. This probably also explains the increase for NRK Sport, which at the same time means an increased market share for NRK Totalt.

There have now been many months in 2024 where listener numbers have been lower than the previous year. The figures are based on the PPM measurement carried out by Nielsen Media
